Die Ruhe vor dem Sturm. Diorama pics

I usually only build one diorama a year. Here is this year’s. I’m still waiting for more pics. The lighting is a bit off in the first one and the focus is poor in the next two, but the model looks good. [:)]
Out of 3 shows entered, it has taken 3 first places and a Best of Show. [:D]

A Sturmtiger from Panzersturmmoerserbatterie 1002 loads it’s 38cm. ammunition before going into action near Kirschellen, Germany, March, 1945. Note that this vehicle is in almost new condition, as this unit only fought in 3 engagements. Although PzStuMrBtr. 1002 was issued it’s Sturmtigers in December of 1944, it did not see combat until March '45. This vehicle was captured intact by US forces near the town of Minden on April 14th, 1945.
A Italeri kit, with Eduard PE, Royal Model shells, VLS and Italeri buildings, scratch-built road and sidewalks, figures are DML, Tamiya and Custom Dioramics.

Nicely done … You’ve done some excellent work on this dio. Can’t wait to see more pics !!!

Looks great, what type of tank is it?

Magnificent! I love it. The tank and the figures are finely done. The ruins are very nice ,too. Those VLS ruins are really very nice. Sure beats scratchbuilding them buildings.

Thanks for sharing.

Very beautyful. Top job [tup][tup]

Thank you for sharing

Absolutely beautiful! You certainly portrayed the ‘calm’. An anxious calm…
Well done. Love to see more.

I can see by the work put into this dio why you only do one a year. It’s fantastic.
