Did Israel ever use the dragon wagon?

Like the title says are

there any pictures of Israel using the dragon wagon tank transporter during the 1960’s and 70’s? I want to build an Israeli transporter but I am not having any luck on vehicles ,Thanks for any help

IIRC, this was discussed and the conventional wisdom is no despite Shep Paine’s famous diorama.

out side of the famous dio, I’ve been trying for years to find the answer to the same question. Outside of commercial european and american tractor units I’ve seen no Dragon wagons but as I type I know in my heart somebody else will kill my comment.

Terry.

I haven’t seen anything definitive, but according to most sources I’ve read on the IDF, the answer is NO… Mac trucks are used for tank transport by private contractors which have a modified cab… Mouse House Publications is probably the best book, it’s called "Israeli weapons and vehicles and highlight all vehicles used by the IDF throughout their history. There is a certain section on transports!

To echo other answers - No Dragon Wagons

I haave seen the Diamond T Truck and trailer set from WWII in a couple of photos - these were either ex-British or ex-French. The pictures were in the 1950’s.

In the 1973 war it was commercial tractors with one of two types of trailers. The Concord book about Middle East armor has a picture showing 2 M50’s leaving the Sinai at the end of the 73 war on trailers.

The Trailer in the Trumpeter 50-ton Chinese Tank Carrier is a close match to the “heavy” trailer used by the IDF. With a little scratch building - find a snaptight 1/32 truck kit - you could modify the tractor and have a moder IDF carrier.

Good Luck
