Did I miss something...

…a little less than 10 years ago I put together a Revell/Monogram f-18c (gun slinger) I’m sure you all know the one I’m talking about. Anyway unless I missed something and I’m sure that I did not, this kit had recessed panel lines. I know I am not losing my scruples becasue I darkened them with a pecil and they were definatley recessed. Did they make new molds or something between then and now?
I am not bashing the kit I am just curious.

I don’t rember anyting about panel lines 10 years ago, but I know now that all of their kits have recessed panel lines. I put together so many 1/72 Tomcats when i was a kid its not even funny, but I just wanted them to play Topgun with, so I didn’t worry about things like that!

I hear ya when I was kid I must have put together (i’m sure you remember) that Monogram 1/72 F-14 15 different times.

That thing was so much fun, and it had a horrible fit around the cockpit! I remeber a couple times just leaving the cockpit out and using those for my “victims”! I would place a fire cracker in one of the afterburners, light it, and toss two, so the rear plane got a kill! If I got it just right it looked cool, but eventually my mom decided I was to young to play with firecrackers [:(!]

goondman, The only lines recessed on that kit are slats, flaps or ailerons. All the panel lines are raised.
