I was just thinking the other day, it would be cool to do a “Secret Weapons of WWII” collection. There are plenty of German, US and Japanese planes that would fit the bill, but I’ve never seen a model of Japan’s first jet.
Did anyone ever make a 1/48 Kikka?
Dont Quote me on it , but I believe that the old L&S Co. Ltd made one. They produced a lot of Great and hard to find Japanese Experimental Fighters. I just stumbled upon a KI-109 the other day in the Tomb.
finemolds does in 1/48. I’ve seen 2 of these on contest tables this year. they look pretty good. From what I seen the cockpit and surface detail is pretty basic. but seem to finish up nice.
I built the Fine Molds kit a few years ago. It’s in the reviews section of Modeling Madness. It looks great in the box, but it has some pretty irritating fit issues. Looks great when it’s finished!
There was another company that made one before Fine Molds. I think it was Vector(?). A friend of mine has one, and it looks similar in layout and quality as the Fine Molds kit, but I don’t know how well it fits together.
