MArk, comparing Eduard to Verlinden is like apples vs. oranges. Eduard photo etch sets are some of the best detail sets out there, if you like working with p.e. (I do, personally), whereas Verlinden sets are usually a mixed media (p.e.and resin) kit, usually fairly expensive and the selection is somewwhat more limited. I have used both types and given the choice, I will nearly always go with Eduard. Just my [2c] here, I am sure that others see it very differently!

different animals altogether.
Eduard’s PE is more complete and detailed. But they don’t do any resin.
Verlindedn offers combo kits, resin and PE. the PE is often less detailed, but the resin is usually pretty good. They work well together.
But for the best of both, use Eduard PE and either Aires or True Details resin sets. It’s hard to go wron with those kits.

I agree. I use EDUARDS alot. But saying that, I lke both worlds. I use resin cockpits but also use PE for the finer detail. Some sets are compleaty PE and no resin is needed. You use parts of the kit pit. Eduards is VERY detailed. This is my 1/32 F-105 cockpit. Some kit parts and a hole lotta PE. Lots more has been added sinse this pic…Harv
As already noted, you can’t compare the two. I highly recommend the Eduard detail sets, if you can handle working with PE. Some of it gets pretty fiddly, but if you stick with their Zoom sets you get most of what you need & only minimal hair loss in assembling to the kit parts. Personally, I’m not a fan of Verlinden. For Resin detail sets, I much prefer Aires or CMK. Be aware that most resin detail sets require some surgery to the kit parts in order to get a decent fit.
