Hey guys,
I’m not sure if this is allowed but I feel it’s my obligation to let fellow modelers know that I purchased ‘1/35 German 38cm Sturmtiger ammo’ from (I won’t name the retailer as they did their best).
The product came from Royal models in Italy.
When I frantically opened up the box the ammo was horribly disfigured by excess resin that was so thick and protruding so much I attempted to saw it off, only to ruin it as it’s round and not meant to have a weird 2cm uneven rectangular block as part of it.
Nowhere on the box, instructions ANYWHERE could I find a place or reason for this.
I have attempted to post photos of the product and the appalling reply from Royal but I can’t seem to resize them. (if someone can help with how to post photos I’d be most grateful).
So, of course, I emailed the retailer who discovered the remaining product(s) had the same problem and admitted it was not acceptable and attempted to resolve the issue with Royal.
The reply from Royal was so ridiculous I couldn’t believe it. They basically said I must be inexperienced and the ‘blocks’ are normal but then wrote that they were a little old but had never received a complaint.
The retailer offered a refund as is my right in Australia, so I’m debating whether to go through the tedium of returning, shipping etc.
Regards,
Ki.
