decisions, decisions

im working on a 1/72 corsair from academy, and they give me a choice between a bomb and an external fuel tank. what should i do?[%-)] [C):-)]

BOMBS AWAAAAAAY !!! You can’t blow anything up with an empty fuel tank. LOL

Chris

Its all up to you, thats why they give you the options.

Just do some searches and find some with the bomb and some with the fuel tank. And decide which one you want to replicate.

i AM kinda leaning twards the bomb, but i like the look of the fuel tank.[%-)] but youre right. you can’t blow anything up with a fuel tank. [C):-)]

No, you can’t blow anything up, but you can put a heck of a dent in it! [:D]

amen! [C):-)]

I have a better idea. Buy another one just like it and build one with the bomb and the other one with the fuel tank. End of the dilema (I am so smart!!!)[:D]

No you can’t but they did fill the external gas tanks with napalm later in the war sometimes and use them like bombs! Nice little fireball, well mabye from the pilots view and not the guys on the receiving end. A bomb does look more menacing hanging under there than a fuel tank though.

Just say that the fuel tank is a napalm bomb [:D]

Actually you can blow something up with a fuel tank. During Vietnam a twin seat F-105 was attacked by a Mig. The pilot jettisoned his wing tanks and headed out fast in an evasion manuver. When they looked for the position of the Mig they saw one of the tanks tumbling throught he air and a big fireball, but no Mig. They tried to get credit for the kill but wer denied because there were no witnesses to the actual impact.

The fuel tank might ignite and you get cheap napalm, Oh great! somebody beat me to it.

May your conopies never craze.
