Decals, Future: Q for Swanny

I am in the middle of putting decals on my current project. It has three coats of Future brushed on, very smooth and glossy, and some decals applied. Is it possible to remove a decal from a surface that has Future on it? The Future has cured for about a week, and the decal has been there for a couple of days.
Or am I just plain SOL? Thanks.

If you have not sealed the decal with Future on top of it yet then there is a possibility of removing it. You need to rehydrate the decal with some water and maybe some weak Setting solution like Micro-Set. Lets this puddle on the decal for 10 or 15 minutes first. Use a #1 or #2 flat paint brush and start sliding it into the edge of the decal - bristles first to lift the edge. Keep it wet and keep working gently - it takes a while but can be done. I ran into an almost identical problem with my RS.14 and successfully removed the decal - see picture below.

This is being lifted after a couple days in place. The decal was salvaged and placed in the correct position.

Right on Swanny. Thank you. I’ll let you know how it goes.

uh, Swanny?
You da man!![bow][bow]
It worked like a charm. And not a mark to the surface underneath.

Thanks.

Glad to hear it.
