I have an old 1/48 scale A6 intruder that I’m in the process of restoring. I’d like to paint and decal it to match a carrier based vietnam war era aircraft (like Flight of the Intruder) if at all possible.
I built this kit about about 10 years ago and then it had a catastrophic crash from a shelf. I just took it out of the ziplock baggie it’s been stored in for 3 or 4 years and it doesn’t look too bad, but it’s going to need some reconstructive surgery and a new paintjob.
So anyway, if anyone has a link to some A6 decals, I’d appreciate it!
Give Ebay a shot. I’ve seen the old Superscale sheets for sale once in awhile. If you are ok with low-vis markings, I have a sheet I can send your way.
It looks like all the A-6 decal sets are currently OOP. SuperScale and Eagle Strike/Aeromaster did make some sets. If you check Ebay and other sites that carry old OOP stuff you still maybe able to find a set.

I don’t have too many Marine birds in my collection and actually the first time I ever saw a real A6 was a Marine Intruder at an airshow when I was a kid so that’s a nice bonus. I still remember looking down those huge airscoops on that enormous aircraft. You don’t see Marine aircraft at airshows that often and they made a big showing that day with a Harrier fly-in, hover and fly-by. Come to think of it, I need to get one of those too …
Also…I did hear a rumor that the A-6E was going to be getting the re-release treatment soon…if that is true, we could see some more sheets being released
