Hi All, I have a Revell 1/32 109G that I want to build.I would like to do a plane of the two above. I have an airbrush, but have not used it in many years.I usually do cars and use rattle cans.I like the Black Tulip scheme for Hartmann.
Any suggestions for decals and camo?
I have looked at Squadron,Megahobby,E-bay.
Many thanks in advance from a car guy trying an aircraft.
Which variant of the G is that kit. All i could find is a set of Eagle Cal decals for Hartmann’s G-6, yellow 1, but that does not have the tulip design. I think that may have only ben on later aircraft such as the G-14.
Thanks for your reply.I do not know the varient for this kit. It is the old Revell kit from 1969,kit H-279-250.
The instructions say it depicts a Bf-109G flown by the Gruppe Kommanduer,2nd Gruppe,JG 54 based in Russia in 1943.
I am not going to do a super build, just out of the box.Maybe even a made up camo and decals,I dont know. I really want to do a Rall or Hartmann. I met Rall once in a symposium.
Found it on Scalemates, looks like its meant to be a G-6. The Eagle Cal decals will work. I found them on Hannants, but you should eb able to find them over there. This is what to look out for.
I guess it was maybe 40+ years ago I built Hartmann’s 109 and his F-86 with the tulip petal nose theme. I think the ME-109 was Hasegawa and the F-86 was Lindberg. Both very colorful airplanes. Both in 1/48 scale.
