Decaling stripes on missiles?

When painting missiles, it would seem that using strips of solid color decals would be the way to go instead of masking and painting the stripes. My question is where can solid, one color sheets of decals be had, such as yellow, black, brown, etc? Do they exist? If anyone has a better method for striping missiles, I’m all open to suggestions.

You could always buy a sheet of clear decal film at your LHS, and then run it through your printer to get the color, size, etc. that you want.

Also, try www.superscale.com and see if they have any solid color sheets.

Just an idea…

Yeah, I thought of that, but someone mentioned to me that he thought they sold solid sheets of colored decals. Thanks.

I just bought a sheet of red at a LHS. from microscale.

Jroden144, go to Bare-metal foil Co. It was the only Co. I found my red “remove before flight” flags in the 1:48 scale. A great site. Decales, foil and alot of other cool stuff. Their web address is www.Bare-Metal.com Hope this helps

Superscale has made sheets in solid colors as well as sheets of stripes in several widths and colors. They should still be available. Check at Squadrons’ website. They are ideal for modern ordinance and the bands on carrier aircraft arrestor hooks. Not so useful on WWII ordinance.
