If you haven’t used these I think you will love them.
I just did some decaling and these things impress me each time I use them.
They are $15.95 from Micro-Mark

I might have to get a pair to compare with the ones I have from Xuron. These babies are razor sharp and can part a frogs hair. They even fit well in my big mits.

Give them a try Gerald. The blades are so pointed and sharp that you can cut small areas with precision. Those Xuron scissors look nice but the blades look much wider and harder to manuever in tight areas.
you guys need to get a cabalas fly fishing catalog. The scissors we use to cut feathers are about as sharp as you can get. I use my old ones for modeling. They sell them made from ceramics and even carbide, but have found the ones from Anvil to be the best I’ve ever used. And some of them have the tinyest tips you’ve ever seen.

Tamiya’s Decal Scissors are awesome: http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=74031
They have very thin, sharp blades. The blades are black so there is no glare. The handles are larger then most small scissors allowing for better control. Great construction.

Mike, I use those too and I second your opinion. They are just great for control and small little decals.
Oh No!!!
My tool buying was at an end (again!)…now I read this!
Okay…are we talking about just cutting from a decal sheet?..or are you guys cutting carrier film from a decal?
…Where’s that darn credit card?
Either way my friend they work awesome and since you have to squeeze them to cut it is nice because the blades open again when you release them.
You wish! It’s just like buying models - I don’t need any more kits - then someone comes out with a new kit, or a better version of an old kit, or rereleases a kit you missed on the first release - - - and you find yourself buying it and putting it in the stash.
[banghead] Yep qmeister…but I’m just getting back into the hobby after 20 years. I got all the basics from memory…then came to this forum…so, it’s read a post…place an order…ad infinitum.
I now own things I never thought I’d need…but having them…I do need them!
But it’s all good…why not work like gentlemen when we can?
