i have seem model with decal very nice, it seem liek the decal it with the model itself. any 1 know how to do it, i have searrch the forum and some say that you apply future , decal then future again. the final result will look like the decal has been sumberged into the model. it is true??? and how do i do it?
It is true! Future is not a floor wax, but a floor finish. It is nothing more than an acrylic paint! You can also dip clear parts, like canopies, to enhance clarity and to help protect the canopy.
Most people use matt paints on their models which require a treatment of gloss to allow the decal to adhere properly without silvering. So once you’ve finished the painting, but before any weathering, you lay down a coating of Future to smooth out the surface. Let it sit for 24 hours (or longer depending on the temperature and humidity). The decals adhere nicely to that surface, and once they snuggled down the way you want and have fully dried, lay down another coating of Future to seal them in. You can add flat base to the Future to get the matt look again. Another 24 or whatever hours later, weather to your hearts content.

Good Luck!
ya so it is true, happy to know that. btw do anyone know adding future plus flat base will give a matt n satin finish? but how much amount i must apply to it?? coz flat base seem to turn into white after it dry…
Swanny has a section on add flat base to get various amounts of flatness…
Using flat base on it’s own as a paint is a bad thing! It is designed as a flattening agent, not a paint. Too much flat base will cause grief too!
i wanan give it a try, but i dun care to do it. haha . what tool can u sue to apply them both. a toothpick or what?
