I masked over a waterslide decal on my model with a piece of adhesive backed post it note in order to perform some airbrushing. Much to my dismay when I removed the post it mask the decal came with it. I was able to successfully remove the decal without damaging it from the mask. Can anyone suggest how I can restick this decal back in place? I originally applied it on top of Testor’s clear glosscote. Not sure if the decal didn’t contain enough adhesive or what happened. Used Microsol & Microset when I originally put it down.
I would think dropping it into place and then hitting it with the Microsol is probably the best option, then seal it up with Future or your Testor’s glosscote. I did this once with the cross on a Bf109 but it was in a spot that I could hand-paint the black portion. Good luck, I hate getting that far along & then having something happen!
Sienna: Try Solva Set it has a mild adhesive in it lay the decal in a puddle of solvaset then let the solva set do its thing overnight then reaseal this methode has worked for me several times. ACESES5 in the werks Roden Pfalz D.III 1/32[snWcm]
