Tony is a real master. He won an award at Wonderfest this year for that work.
Take a look at a probe droid kit he did. The snow work is amazing.
I got to see several pieces of Tony’s work (including this piece) first-hand at WonderFest this year. All his work is top-notch, and he’s truly a nice guy, too. Great fun to talk to.

Wow, that’s alot of eye candy! Nicely done. Anyone else wish the movie industry would go back to minatures and lay off the CG. That model captures the beautiful textures of the original SW movie models. [8D]
Yes, Woody, I wish they’d stay with models. They just look more “real”. Personally I can always tell when they’ve gone CG and the image looks to “smooth” if that makes sense.
StevenQ it makes perfect sense. As fantastic as CG can be it seldom convinces me that what I’m seeing is real. Too smooth, too glossy in my IMHO
I had the honor of seeing it at WonderFest this year. It’s huge & totally awsome! I was floored by the detail that he put into it & the Probe Droid.
The one thing I like about seeing build-ups like this is they inspire me to take on projects of my own. Or at least start them.[:)]

Thanks for the compliments guys! It was fun over at Wonderfest seeing all the entries and it was really cool watching Matt in action with his photography equipment taking pictures of entries making them look really SWEET with the lighting set up.
That diorama is just plain fantastic! Incredible detail coupled with a truly original design and execution. That is definitely something to be proud of. If ever there were a “legacy” kit-- this would truly be one for the ages! Bravo, good sir.
