THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I am currently working on a series of Pz IV kits for the Pz IV group build, and these photos plus any others you would like to share will help immensely!! You have perfect timing too because I just starting my second of 6 Pz IV builds. The first two will be pretty much out of the box so these photos will help a lot with the last 4 kits. Thanks once again!!
very nice, the more photos the better for those of us who cant afford good reference books, posts like this are a godsend.
I’m going in August, I can’t wait…
Thanks for the preview!
If there’s an interest…
I think I could safely speak for everyone when I say
PLease, oh pretty please, please, please, please, oh pretty please. Post more.
Thanks.

When are you planning to be in Aberdeen in August? I have been thinking of going back sometime the week of August 2. I’m wondering if they will mind if I take a free-standing ladder with me so that I can shoot the tops of the tanks as well as the sides.
All
I will post my other pictures as a new topic as soon as I have them uploaded to photobucket.com, later this week. There are about 40 more pictures. Most of them detail shots.

I’ve rented a house down the shore the last full week of August. One of those days I plan on breaking free to check it out. I might have a five year old in tow, a three year old too…they both love tanks. the oldest is getting a 1/50 Corgi Panther tommorrow morning for his birthday, as well as a whole lot of other stuff, but I know the Ausf G will be his favorite.
The younger is getting a 1/50 M4 on Sunday for his birthday, again sure to be the fav.
Thanks for posting the pics Alex. If yopu have any side view pics of the dampers Mike (Renarts) would appreciate them. He was asking for good ones in the Panzer IV Group Build thread.
Yes it is the D. The type of cupola, the brake access panels being proud of the hull, the spaced armour around the driver’s visor and the radio operators position and the type of visor itself are the give aways. It has been upgraded with the late model additional 20 mm side armour, wider drive sprocket and early 40cm pattern tracks.
Ausf, Wish him a happy 5th BDay from all of us.
Thanks for the pics, they are a great reference to my Ausf D that I am currently working on. THanks again for sharing.
Very nice thank you for giving us a look at these pix.[tup]
Great, addunbar !
Not only have you helped the PZ IV builders - but there is so many others pieces that are based on it !
Thanks
Great pics Alex!! I was just there on the fourth and got some really good pics myself that I will be posting in the PZ IV GB thread.
Those of you planning on going to Aberdeen soon, Just a Quik note about getting into the Base. Make sure you have your Insurance card and registration with you to get a visitors pass. Since I am in the National Guard I have a DOD sticker so I just get waved right in, but they require you to have a visitors pass to get to the Mueseum. Else wise have a great time and enjoy the Exibits. Lord only knows how much longer they will be there.
That’s a really nice tank. I was tinking of doing another panzer IV so thanks for the pics, they may come in handy.
I have just posted the second and third sets of Panzer IV pictures in a new post.
