No. It’s Italeri’s DUKW in 1/35. I built this one in 2009.

This was my first experience with building an Italeri kit and I really liked it. Went together nicely with no surprises.

The paintwork was very simple. The main body was rattle canned with ModelMaster Olive Drab enamel. The metal on the tools and the anchor were painted with MM Gunmetal enamel with a drybrush of MM Steel enamel. The handles, corner bumpers, and storage boxes were painted MM Wood acrylic, followed by a coating of MM Military Brown enamel to “grain” them, then finished off with a top coat of Vallejo Transparent Orange acrylic. The bumper ropes are MM Armor sand enamel and the bedrolls and back flap are PollyScale U.S. Khaki acrylic.

The base is just one of those display cases from HobbyLobby with a sheet of Woodland Scenics “spring grass” glued down and a sprinkling of sand around the edges.

I have to say I really liked this one and am not only looking forward to my next Italeri project, but would happily recommend this kit to anyone who is considering doing a DUKW.

Thank you. Clean and/or “factory fresh” is how I tend to go with my builds.

PWB, really sharp build! I only have one problem with it…it should be sitting in a water base!! LOL[:D] I betcha it would look hecka cool!

It’s going to be a LONG time before I’ll ever have the skills/courage to tackle that kind of base.
