Jan oh Jan, why didn’t you airbrush those tyres a dirt colour of your choice, then dry-brush ‘em back with some Winsor & Newton Payne’s Grey (an almost black colour) oil paint?! This, i’ve found to be the best way of weatherin’ tyres, you can go heavy with the drybrush for a less dusty look or light for a very dusty look. It really makes tyres look superbly weathered, I did it on my ‘222’. [:D]
Now why didn’t i think of that[sigh]
