Dad just recently finished Accurate Minatures 1/48 F-6B kit, while it did offer some challenges, it went together well. Dad also used some AM invasion stripe decals.
Enjoy!

Good job Dad.
I should get my Dad to start building again. I wonder what Mr. Quagmyre is doing today other than playing golf…
Dad only golfs once a week, now a days…
Very Cool Build Dad

Your dad did an excellent job on this bird as well. How did he like the A.M. kit as far as fit is concerned? I have that one in the stash, and haven’t heard much discussion about it. Pleas give your dad my congratulations on some very nice work!

That looks great- very nicely done.
brain44- I recently built the AM P-51A, which is basically the same kit. It was a little tough getting the interior components lined up when you put th efuselage halves together, and the wing to fuselage fit was good, but kinda tricky to accomplish.
I posted what amounts to a build report on my blog. Feel free to email me, too.
Bottom line is I liked the kit a lot, and plan to build another AM -51. Rossjr’s dad showed it can turn out real good, and I think mine turned out decent as well. AM makes good stuff.
