It appears to BE a “Haseg”…

It’s a Fine Molds kit. Not sure of the exact connection, but Hasegawa has some stake in Fine Molds. It’s an older kit so not quite up to current Hasegawa or Tamiya standards, That said, it’s a very nice kit. well molded, recessed panel lines, decent clear parts, no major fit problems that I recall. Not a shake the box kit, but well within the skill level of any modeler with at least basic skills. And, if you want a 1/48 Judy, it’s the only injection molded kit available.

I’m amazed Tamiya or Hasegawa hasn’t done their own version of this yet—maybe Hasegawa hasn’t because of the connection with Fine Molds…

So am I Manny. The Hasegawa/Fine Molds connection didn’t stop Hasegawa from doing their own version of the Oscar shortly after the Fine Molds kit was released.

Years ago I did the FIne Molds 1/72 Me410. What a beautiful kit. I don’t build much 72nd anymore but I would make an exception to do another one of those.

I’ve often thought the same thing. Everything else has been done to death.

I agree…we need to let the manufactures know…they need new kits…how many Zeros and 109’s can you put out…Hasegawa puts out a whole new Zero kit just because of the markings…just sell the decal…anyhow…there are many subjects out there still not touched or need a whole new reissue/remolding.

For example…(and just because Its my post I want to see them in 1/48th[prte])

-TBD Devestator…the old Monogram is not bad…but come on…Accurate Minatures should do one

-SBC Helldiver…

any one else??

Carlos

I’d like to see that one re-done, too. The Classic Airframes kit is hard to find, it comes up on eBay occasionally, with attendant fierce competition for the winning bid.

Till I can get me a CA kit, or someone else comes out with it, I’ll have to stick to upgrading the old Aurora kit…
