looks great Eric! Just a suggestion do not rush the weathering it should be a thoughtful process.
There is no finish line and that Stug isn’t going anywhere! Just my experience my friend. I rushed my second build when I got to the weatheirng stages and learned a lot of scale and tonality lessons. Remember a little goes a long ways!!
Becuse it is about the funnest (not a real word, I know) thing a guy can do. Well after women. Then after a nice Kentucky bourbon on a cool evening…with a fine cigar. Then after some poker with the boys. Then after some girl watching at the beach when the wife isn’t looking.
[%-)]OK… I don’t know you you are so excited either[:D]
Oh and of course… the build is looking terrific[tup]
Don’t worry. I came to my senses after I realized I would be up all night and into the morning finishing it right. I was just really itching to call it complete. Thanks, I’m really happy with the color as well.
Don’t worry Bill, I’ve already got 4 shelves just like those two filled up. I just moved the collection around a bit so the new shelves wouldn’t sit empty.
Thanks for the coments guys. This was a very build fun for me. I think that the paint came togher very nice. I’ve been trying a three coat method on the last few monotone builds. It entails a darkened coat, then a normal coat of paint that high lights the middle of the panels, and then a messy coat of lightened paint. I adapted the idea from Doog’s Jagdpanzer Kanone build.I think it creates a nice effect.
I’ll try to get some better pics. It won’t happen tomorrow since the actual ceremony is then and then I have a ton of parties to go to.
