Im working on the amt 67 gt350 im putting in the 4.6l dohc cobra engine and irs from the revell 99 cobra kit is there any aftermarket h pipe or x pipe or can just fab one up out of left over sprue
I google the vehicle, get plenty of pics and make one from sprue.
Some folks use a heavy solder to make exhaust stacks, pipes or headers. Others use soft aluminum tubing.
I never thought of solder to make exhaust thanks don
How about copper wire .It work awesome
Yeah, I have used copper wire myself, as I can solder it rather than gluing it. Worked fine. Much rarer though- many plastic kit builders do not like to solder. When I mentioned solder, the folks I know who use it glue the pieces together with CA.
Hi,
I very recently tried the stock aluminum tubing method and had fair success with it. These are going on a '53 Ford F-100 that I’m working up now:
I didn’t have a pipe bender (I still don’t know if one exists for this scale) so instead I filled the tubes with sugar. This gave them some density inside the tubes and prevented kinking. Hope that is some help to you,
-Blake
