Custom Decals

I would like to build a 1/48 Spitfire Vc in the markings of Pilot Officer John “Slim” Yarra. The A/C markings are unusual in that the aircraft identification letters "GL*W are in yellow. None are available in stock form so I thought I might try custom decals. Also, Yarra’s personal markings include Italian and German victory markings and the personal marking “Ned IV” just below the cockpit side window on the port side of the A/C. Does anyone know of a custom decal place and how much such a thing might cost?

DK Decals did a 1/32 set that has his markings - maybe you can find on ebay and scale down?

How about a source for ANY custom decals?

I’m trying to get a custom set (2) of white decal numbers (#98) for the old 1/20th scale Monogram midget racer model.

My Dad drove a midget with this number on either side of the tail in 1949. I can provide photos of the car (and the numbers).

Inkjet decals (DTY) are well perfected now. Admittedly white decals are harder to do than dark ones, but it is not really that hard. Just another technique to learn, like working with resin or photo-etch.
