Man that is a lot of flash but it is a nice subject. I look forward to seeing your build up Rafhart! [tup]
Looks like a lot of filler will be needed on this one. Keep us posted.
Regards, Rick
Good luck with the kit. Mine is still waiting for some minor extras and a Pavla vacuum canopy /im sorry to say that i broke the orriginal while trying to cut it open[#oops][banghead]/ while its actually ready for paint. Pay attention to the whole lot of sink marks, especially the prop, the supporting floats on the wing and arround the fin. If i may ask one question, do you have any refference about the cockpit because it still bothers me, especially the instrument panel /actualy thats the reason why my Seahawk is still sitting paintless on my workbench/.
P.S. I think i`ll take some pictures of my Seahawk and post them in here, if you dont mind of course, and may be i will get it done at last[bow]!!!
I built that kit under it’s Antares label. bad fit all over but it builds into a very cool subject.
Gary
Rafhart, good luck to you, brother. I recently finished my 1/72 Smer Re 2000. Falco. And I had more problems than I have with Airfix kits. Warpage, general misalignment of moldings, I broke each of the prop blades at least twice. It was very bad. but it managed to turn out ok. I have another Smer in the stash now. I know what to expect. Cant wait to see how this one turns out.
Forgot to mention earlier that the decals on my release were translucent for the white. I ended up using other decals.
I was never able to find cockpit photos online, since then Ginter Books has released a book on the SC-1 which has them. My intention at the time was to fit a True Detail P-51 resin cockpit, it’s close enough and available but the canopy was so bad I didn’t bother.
Gary
Canopy is bad , to large.
I look for photos Curtiss SC-1 , please help.

Interesting little beast. I picked up the Xotic offering of it this week. I think I heard the welcoming party in the closet last night for it. Napoleonic figures use any excuse to break out the spirits.
Seems several of us have it or have done it, what kinds of references has everyone found? I think there is one page with a color profile in my copy of “Biplanes, Triplanes, and Seaplanes”, with a few dimensions, and a blurb.
I have 3-4 photos , in dont have any good photo. I you have anymaterials please send my Rafhart@wp.pl. Model is hard to bulding.
Thank
