I finally pieced anough time together between December and now to completethe Goshawk! This is the Lindberg 1/48 Curtiss Goishawk with the ModelNerd resin set and custome ModelNerd decals. I really like the vintage feel of the stand, andthe vibrant between war colors.
I have found a few touch up areas needed that the photos always reveal, but otherwise I consider her done! Thanks for looking and thank you, Mark for all of the help, instructions, support and products!
Wow!!! great build my friend! I love the colourful birds, and the paint job looks flawless
congratulations!!
Jere
It turmed out very nice, Charles. What did you use for rigging?
You’re very welcome Charles, very glad to help. The Goshawk looks fantastic! Just beautiful work, man.
Looks great Charles. Very nice work [tup].
Regards, Rick
This is some beautiful work Charles! Looking at the photos, I cannot see anything I would change. Truly a beautiful build all around. [^]
Nice build of an often overlooked subject. Just looking at it makes you feel like it’s 1935 agian. Well done and great colors.

Goshawful? LOL! Boo! That’s just terrible. [;)]
Nice work on the plane though! Gotta work on your puns. [:D]
That turned out great Charles! Very well done [tup]
Simply gorgeous Charles. Love the colors and the use of the stand. And thank you for helping me make up my mind. IF I ever win the lottery… then learn how to fly…I’m buyin’ one of those. [:D] And they aren’t around any more I’ll have someone help me build one. See y’all in Oshkosh… someday… maybe
Mucker, you turned a sow’s ear into a silk purse.
Love the colour scheme, I can’t call bright green and yellow a camo scheme!
Karl
THank you much Jere, Wayne, Mark, Rick, Frank, SC, Arki, Drew Marc, Karl:
Wayne: I used some brass wire that was in the stash. I was in a hurry to finish and forgot to paint some of them silver. THey are a tad on the thick side. In retrospect I should have taken a trip to the store to find a finer wire.
Arki: [:I] That was indeed a bad pun!
Marc: When you buy one I’ll be looking for you at airshows!
Karl: The resin parts really make a big difference. Left by itself, the Lindberg kit is really sparse (although the fit is nice). What really grabbed me was the colorful scheme.
THanks again, everyone. I really appreciate the comments.
What a beauty! Great looking build of a classic aircraft, great work!
Nicely done, Charles! You’ve sent a message to any detractors out there, that the Lindberg kit is not a bad kit, it just takes a little more work.
Someday we should have a Goshawk group build…
Super neat-O! You’ve done a beautiful build on that one.
Can you repost your images as for some reason they are not pulling up on photobucket.
Love your photos here of the completed project. If I am understanding this post correctly this is the 1/48 scale Lindberg Curtis Goshawk with added materials?
I am unable to locate the link for the Model Nerd resin and decals for this kit. Can you re-post it?
They are not showing up because this is an 11 year old post, and the OP probably pulled them off of Photobucket once they required payment to use…
