In the current issue of FSM, there is a fine article on how to build and detail an M1A1. It sits on a very nice base, but there is no explanation regarding its construction. I like this base as it is small and simple.
Does anyone (author lurk here perhaps?) have information on the construction/purchase of such a base?
It seems that the base itself is a simple base that can be bought at a Michael’s or other Arts and Crafts store. The Abrams is a decent size kit, especially with the mine plows. It also looks like it is stained and vanished. The groundwork looks to be done in Celluclay mixed with Acryilic sand color, with real sand.
