Current color of USN Ships, HELP!

I recently built the USS England DE-635, Revell Buckley. In 1944 she was painted MS-21 Navy Blue. I am now building USS England CG-22, Leahy class Cruiser. Post war the Navy reverted to a modified MS-13, which would be haze gray. The paints I have looked at appear to have a blue tint. What color should I use to paint the modern England and have it appear gray? I am new to this and would greatly appreciate some suggestions.
Thanks
Jack

US Navy ships vertical surfaces are painted “flat gull gray” aka “Haze gray” the federal designation for the color is “FS36440” your should be able to find this paint in the Testors acyrilic model masters, Testors laquer model masters, Gunze Sangyo aqueous hobby colors. The FS number will be on the bottle. The horizontal surfaces post WW2 are coated with a non-skid surface. This can be simulated with dark gray paint. FS36081 or FS36118 are best.

If this is the old Monogram kit the warning circles around the Mk 10 missile launchers and the Mk 16 ASROC launcher are modled into the plastic, use flat dark red to mark them. The helecoptor pad is marked in the plastic astern of the aft Mk 10 launcher. Paint the helopad markings flat white, If you can paint a small capital “H” at the end of the helo pad. The tops of the combination mast-smoke stacks (“Macks”) should be painted flat black along with all the radars on top. THe Missile guidance radars that appear to look like bass drums can be painted a slightly lighter gray that the rest of the vertical surfaces. The guided missiles should be painted a medium flat blue. The fins on the missiles should be painted flat dark blue. You can see pictures of this class of ship at http://www.globalsecurity.org . The England will be listed under the “Leahy class crusier”.

The FS# for Haze Gray is FS 36270 (26270 for scale effect)
Deck Gray: FS 36008 (26176 for scale effect).

Flat Gull Gray and Haze Gray are different colors.

No minimum order on paints, and we ship worldwide.

These are my recommendation. I use them and am very happy with their service, quality, price, finished look. As a US Navy veteran I would say they are a dead on match.

And you use them just like they were Model Master Enamels (thinner, cleanup, etc).

Thanks everyone. The advice is greatly appreciated. I now know what to do.
