I’m a bit curious about the figures from dragon. Some of them are in one pose on the box art and in the parts menu where they also show the assembled figures they’re in another.
heres an example
this picture is with their 101st airborne in bastogne and
the m4a3 sherman with the 101 airborne, bastogne version supplied but on the sherman picture they are in a different pose
This is just a guess, as I have neither kit. But Dragon’s 4 figure kits that you can buy as a set usually have the same poses as their box art- Dragon armor kits usually don’t come with any figures even though the box art includes them. Because this armor kit comes with two sets of figures- I think their boxart does not correspond with the poses, but instead the figures are posed as they were origionally as a box set.
Generally speaking- I’ve never come across an older Dragon set that was multiposeable- but some of their new Gen2 sets include different weapons/heads- never extra arms or legs.
That being said Dragon figures are easy to modify (or easier than resin IMO). It probably wouldn’t be too hard to get the kit figures looking like those on the box. Especially as the box has 3 figures and the kit comes with 4- you can use the 4th figure for extra parts. Figure modification is just careful planning and a little putty work.
This is easy. The box-art for the Shermie was done long before they decided to include the 101st figs in the Orange-box version, hence they don’t match, but I have never seen where the figs do not match their own box-art…
i’d be pretty upset if i bought a bunch of figures that didnt match. you buy them with plans on using them in dios or whatever…wtf? personally, i’d ship them back (yes i’d pay for it but thats me) to dragon with a nasty complaint letter and tell them to keep them. i realize that may not be feasable for you, but someone would hear about it!!!
