I am currently building an HH-60G. I have a stokes litter and backboard for it and am wondering if a standard litter, folded up, would also be carried on board. I can’t find any pics showing this, but thought I would ask before ruling it out.
Thanks.
Rarely if ever Gino. Standard is the stokes with the backboard. We usually would use the stokes in place of the standard litter. Then we have flex litters which basically are used like you would a standard litter. It’s a flat poly type material that can be laced up to perform just like a litter. As stated quite a few times before, space has always been the devil with respect to working out of the ole Pavehawk. When it comes to dealing with multiple non-ambulatory survivors/patients, sometimes you get pretty creative as to how you stack them in the back end[;)] The only scenario I could see where you’d find a standard litter in a Pavehawk is if we were doing a CASEVAC or a MEDEVAC and they brought the patient to the bird onboard a standard litter.
Thanks Sal. That is what I thought, just covering all the bases.
