Here is my 1/350th Hobby Boss Italian Heavy Cruiser “Pola, 1941”. The kit has bad fit problems, flashing and pin marks. This is also my first time using stretched sprue for the rigging. The build is not going too great, but I am having fun. Thanks for looking!
A couple of questions as follow-up… Are you using any online or book references? Just curious for future reference. Despite the fit problems, is this a kit you would recommend? There’s not a lot available for Italian ships from that period (or really any period), and they are very good lucking vessels. Finally, are you using any AM bits, again just curious for future reference.
Read the op again, Manstein! It’s Italian! LOLOLOLOL!!! Thanks friend!
Rick,
No real references. And yes, I would recommend the kit. I only payed about 35 USD from Sprue Brothers, so someone with good skills can overcome the problems. Nothing too major. Some sanding and putty will fix darn near anything! No AM. If there are any available, I wouldn’t know. I never checked. Surely there are? Thanks for the interest, friend!
And as far as doing the rigging last, I agree. As you can see, the painting so far is sloppy and sparse. I am at the experimental stage. I’ll clean her up as I go, but I have others getting attention concurrently.
Again, my thanks to everyone for the comments, or even if all you did was look in, I thank you.
