Crazy Cyberhobby sale

Has anyone seen this? http://www.cyber-hobby.com/html/SuperSavingSet.htm

So you can get a new Dragon kit + another new kit + free decals and shipping for $54? Am I reading that right? There are some nice kits on there too!

Erik

Not just any new Dragon kit, you have to get the Grille H 6470…then you can get one of the others and the decals as a package. Considering the cost of most of the other kits as a stand-alone, if there’s a package that interests you it’s a pretty good deal.

yeah but it’s the same dragon kit and decals though.

Whoa! thats a killer deal.

That Char B1 that they offer with the grille costs almot 40 bucks alone at my LHS.

There are some great Tamiya kits in the deal. I’m looking at them right now. They’ve got : KV1, Wirbelwind, Moebelwagon, Hetzer,JS2, Panzer III N, and the Panzer II A/B/C. I’m leaning towards the Hetzer I think. They also have some AFV Club kits, but I haven’t looked at them yet. the questions is, do I need the Grille? I already have the M version, but I hink this deal is too good to pass up.

Russianfist, that Char is a great kit. I’m building one right now. It’s fantastic. I have a WIP thread on the forum. Check it out!

Erik

All those numbers, why don’t they just list by name,

Some good deals. I would have loved to have gotten that Tamiya Panzer II. Oh well.

Warning! Warning!! Warning!!! This is a Cyber-hobby scam.

I’m not trying to starting anything here. But I was very suspicious of this, so I decided to go through the order process up to the final confirmation then get out.

And guess what?

While !shipping! may be free they are charging a 200HDK HANDLING FEE. That works out to about additional 25 bucks. And it is being shipped surface which can take up to 3 months to arrive.

Now, not to say this is a totally bad deal but it is definately not what cyber-hobby is claiming.

Oh wow, I knew it was too good to be true. $25 handling fee? That is crazy!

Erik

Hate to say it but “if it sounds to good it usually is.”

Anyways, I personnelly think this kind of baiting of consumers is bad business.

as always my [2c]

Not crazy, just a little wacky…

It’s worth noting that cyber-hobby.com usually caters to Asia and Europe while DragonUSA usually handles the US/N. America market. That may be why there’s the 200 HKD handling fee for those buying in the US.

$50

What is HKD actually?

If it is 55$ for the set, and a 25$ handling fee, it would still be cheaper to buy there than buy them individually… Atleast for me… Anyone knows how long this sale will be?

And DragonUSA… I’d LOVE to buy from them, but they don’t sell to Norway [BH]

Hey

Huxy

HDK is Hong Kong Dollars.

BTW, if you ever have anything you need from the States, but have trouble getting let me know and I’ll get to you.
