It’s the Italeri 1/72 kit.

I wanted to post before the next step: indy track links. They may be the demise of this kit…
Built OOB without research, using box art as guide. Never again will I AB Testors acrylics. The finish was sanded down with 400 grit wet paper to correct mistakes. Turned out to be a fun little build so far with a lot of learning involved.
This may be my first completed armor model ever if the links work out.[:p]
My hat comes off for the brail builders, and with examples like this someone might talk me into trying it one day.[^] and I know who I will be seeking some tips from well done ausf.
The finish on that model is really impressive, particularly
the weathering and fading on the whitewash!
If you hadn’t said, I’d easily have thought it was 1/35.
Gotcha Ed! With all the posts debating the Trump model I figured I’d catch someone expecting to see 738 pieces all stuck together, not the 20 some odd here.[}:)]
Matt, this was a warm up for MTD, about five hours total. Of course that was stretched over a week, not one day.
Jimq, You really should give them a try, I like the idea of completing something and these small kits give me a chance to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Be happy to share anything I can, I’m making it up as I go along.
Best part of the finish is sanding it. It really added detail and depth. A total accident here but something I’m going to try to use on other builds.
Looks great, Ausf. Indy links on a 1/72? You must need a magnifiying glass to find them! After the indies on my Firefly, they’re too scary to think about.

Nice! That’s the same kit I built for the feared “Night of the Living Treads” group build (that is, me), in which we (I) buiilt, painted and weathered a tank kit all in one night – from 8pm to around 1 am…
It’s a very nice little kit. I’m glad you noticed and filled the molding imperfection on the left side of the turret – in my rush to get it done, I missed it, even though I filled lots of other areas. [:(]
The treads are kind of a pain. They don’t fit together the way the instructions say. I had to play with them until I got them to sit down and behave.
Woodbeck, the bottle is listed as Testor Acryl. The rust I sprayed the tracks with is Polly Scale. I’ve had the paint for a while and never used it. This was the only foray into nonTamiya Acrylics in my Iwata and it wasn’t exactly a picnic. I was about to toss it onto the spare parts pile when I decided to try to ‘rub’ out the paint.
Larry, Your ‘Night of’ was the inspiration to start this kit (I had two on the shelf). I first shot a coat of ‘ghost grey’ (I couldn’t get the bottle of white open and was too lazy to go three flights down for some pliers). After that I hit it with ‘camo green’, then white. It spattered and shot and spit and dripped all over the bloody model. Sandpaper saved it. The dark green that the kit is modeled in didn’t hurt either.
Hit it up with my trademark watercolor wash, including painting the tires (which need redoing) and that’s about it.
Wow, I can see the thing sitting there, with the rule as a good reference to actual size. I’m amazed. That is really all I can say. The detail in this finish, for something so small, is astounding.

Almost suckered me into thinking you’d completed the 1/16 Trumpeter! I hope my monster turns out as well as your little guy…excellent job on the braille scale version!
