Hello, it has been a long time since I have been here. My daughter gifted me a 3d printer and I have been playing around with it. I have done a few Star wars figure busts, but this is my first ship. It is about 15 inches in length.
Big model. Looks like you did a fine job with the paint and details.
Very nice! Great job!
Now you just need to print the Star Destroyer to have the pursuit scene
That looks amazing! Great job on this build.
I saw one of these at the Nationals in New Braunfels a couple of years back and it was a sharp build to see in person. Yours is another great example of this spacecraft. Fantastic attention to detail and a superb outcome. Well done indeed.
My knowledge of 3-D printing is very minimal but are other Star Wars ships/vehicles available too so that you could print all of them in the same scale?
Thanks for the kind comments.
Yes, there are other ship files that you can get. When you are working with the files on you computer you can scale them up or down depending on how big the build plate is on the printer. There are calculations to do to determine what size you need to print at in reference to the size the file was created on. I have not worked that out yet.
Great looking blockade runner!
I probably saw the same build @mustang1989 mentioned last year at the IPMS Houston ModelMain2024 show I went to last year.
Iād love to see a commercial kit of this released in a bigger scale than the tiny one that Bandai did.
Thanks Aggieman. I would like a bigger production model than the tiny Bandai kit. For me 3d printing was a great alternative, $20 for the file and about $25 for the resin. This was as big as i can print, but i can make as many as i want and smaller if i need to.
