Hi all ,
Is there anyone at all that can help my son ? The kit brand name is “LEE” a chinese brand to 1/35th scale and a very accurate kit ,the problem is the instructions provided don’t seem to give any color reference and are written in chinese?
My son wan’ts to depect an all green color scheme with the “Red chinese star” and “white numbers 808” on either side of the turret .
were sorry for our total lack of knowlege on the subject but armour is totally out of my league and my son has never built Armour before until now!

I would use Testors Model Master Dark Green. I don’t know the exact color, but that sounds about right to me.
Good luck with the C.C. Lee kit. It is actually a reboxed Trumpeter kit and is really poor in quality. To see a high quality version, check out the Tamiya T-55 a couple of posts down, which is basically what the Chinese T(Type)-59 was a copy of. It is actually a copy of the Soviet T-54, which was the predecessor to the T-55, but very similar.
Thanks a million for this ! I haven’t looked over the kit in great detail but the mouldings look very crisp and I have no dought it would not even compare to Tamiyas standards !
But my Son is only learning to build and Paint and I’m trying to teach him about accuracy and reaserching a subject before comencing a build!
Thanks again
Sean
