Someone did some deep digging in the archieves to find all that stuff. If you back out to the main page, there’s even more details, and some neat aircraft profiles. I was able to visit Oerland airbase (probably the one listed as Oerlandet on the webpage) near Trondheim last year with NATO. The main runway runs North-South, but story goes that the locals tricked the Germans in the summer into building it with that orientation when most of the year, the actual prevailing winds run East-West. Kind of a passive resistance thing. Unfortunately, now Norwegian AF and NATO aircraft have to contend with the crosswinds!
