I found this Minicraft B-24 today at a local store similar to a super Big Lots! Great price and still sealed! 
Wow! Nice score! I had no idea something like that would turn up outside of a hobby shop.

Great find! Always nice to get a good deal when you are not really looking for it.
I know that when I was about six, my dad, for obvious reasons, didn’t want to buy a couple of brand new models at full price from the LHS for me that would end up looking like, well, a six year old had worked on them. Then, he was at Goodwill and found several unopened and shrinkwrapped models. They were old, and possibly even rare, but he bought them at the crazy low price that they were, I don’t remember the exact numbers, and I had some models to start practicing on. By the time I was 10, I was a bit better, and the investment in slightly better kits from the LHS was a lot more worth it. But, I can safely say, I wouldn’t be a modeler today if my dad hadn’t found those models at Goodwill ten years ago!
Yes! always check thrift and discount stores! I’ve picked up some great models at really low prices over the years!
