Some very wild stuff that would make for a really exotic collection if anyone put some time building them.
Gotta admit there is some seriously cool stuff there.I really dig #2 and #4.
Cool stuff indeed!
Tanks for the link,
Who knows maybe some of the concepts will hit a contest table in the future, AM or even main stream manufactures.
I bookmarked that site doubleplusquick.
Thanks for sharing.
Some real talent for design.
Interesting. I notice that about half use a split track configuration. I can see that it LOOKS good, but I have to wonder how well it would WORK. Anyone aware of any real world analogs? The nearest I can come up with are those wheel-to-track SUV conversions.
HOWEVER I did “find” this:

Rather than “conceptual” artwork, I’d say it’s more rightly named “fantasy” art work – which is 100% fine and really cool looking. When I think “conceptual”, i think of things grounded in engineering realities and utility.
And I can’t imagine any battle tank needing double track configuration – if terrain were that rough, you wouldn’t want an MBT traveling over it anyway.
Many of them are too big to deploy. Unless you are fighting on a homeland, it’s too big to get to the fight via normal methods of transportation.
Some of the towering ones would be missile magnets. Such a giant vehicle would be targeted from miles away by ground and air launched anti-tank guided missiles.
Lots of close up defensive guns. Most tankers like to engage and destroy the enemy from the maximum range possible. Seems like they were designed to fight enemy heavy armor, but have a lot of firepower to defeat close in infantry support.
And shot traps, lots of shot traps on many designs.
Great stuff though. I admire their work.
The concept tank by Aaron Beck reminds me of Oddball’s Sherman tank.
Can’t help wonder if the guy is a fan of the movie Kelly’s Heroes…
Those are wild make for some great builds
