Compressor Fitting help.

Okay so my new Anthem is on it’s way and tomorrow I am picking up a nice only used once compressor with a built in regulator and 2 gallon tank. Now, my question is, this Compressor uses “M” fittings. I am in no way an expert on compressors so I need to know what I need for hoses, adapters etc to connect my Anthem up to this beast? And how do I tell what I will need to put on my pressure gauge, moisture trap, regulator?

Thanks for the help.

Brand and model? A picture will help too.

Just curious. How noisy is it?

I had a pre senior moment and forgot to ask. I won’t be picking it up until tomorrow. The Guy bought it at Menards for like $59 and it’s not big enough for what he wanted to do so he put it on Craigslist for $25. Its 100PSI 1/5 HP and uses M fittings and that’s about all he knows. Like I said, I’m no compressor expert. I’ll see if I can get that info tomorrow.

I found it on the Menards site. It’s a “Tool Shop” Brand Model 2071525

The air outlet on this type of compressor is uaually a 1/4"-NPT female. The orange color plastic hose will connect to it and gives you a 1/4"-NPT male at the other end. You can connect your Badger airhose directly to the male thread if you get the right airhose from Badger.

Pick up some nylon tape from the hardware store to prevent airleak.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it.

I put quick disconnects on my hose from the air compressor and also the hose for the airbrush. it makes it real easy for cleanup and swapping our airbrushes.

Harbour freight sells some pretty cheap. make sure you definitely use teflon tape on any threaded connections.

Good luck.

Way ahead of ya. I ordered some Teflon tape a couple of days ago. 4 rolls $4.49 and free shipping on eBay.

I was thinking about a quick disconnect. I already bought a hose. An actual Badger 50-2011 hose with the prorpprietary connection for the Anthem on one end and a 1/4" on the other. Hopefully they will all get here around the time the Anthem does. I got a good deal on the hose. $11.95 and a couple of bucks for Priority Mail. I got it at TC Graphics and Paint…

quite a bit cheaper than every other place I tried, including coast. They have some good deals so I will remember them.

k, just fyi. you can also put a moisture trap on the compressor also. HF sells them also. dont know a cost but might be worth checking out. I’ve seen them mounted to a board with disconnects also. easy clean out, etc.

any ?'s just ask. I’m not too far and HF is about 1/4 mile from me.

Lol… I got one last week. Combo Regulator, Air Pressure Gauge and Moisture Trap. I’m going to replace the existing regulator with it as soon as the teflon tape arrives.
