hey there im verey confused and need help lol
i whant to buy a compressor and a singaly action bottom feed airbrush but there so mainy out there im totaly lost as to which is best as i whant to be ably to spary all sorts of paints and change the needlys and widith of spary please help

Any particular reason why you want a single action over a double action?

Irregardless…I know some here have “hobby” compressors which are manufactured by Paasche,Badger just to name a few…Others go and get C&H’s from wally world…The best thing I can suggest is buy the best your budget allows! I also am looking for a new compressor but havent made a decision on one yet.

As far as a compressor I recently bought a 2 gal one from home depot for under $100. It is quiet and has so far been very good. I figured for less money than a hobby one and it can be used for other things to that it would be better. As far as airbrushes go, I am pretty new to that area myself.

Hey Chris was it a Delta? or What brand was it?
I really would like one with a tank…but Im finding it might be cheaper to go without a tank. Its also been my experience down here that with tanks the air condensates inside very quickly in the summer here and most people I have spoken with have 2 moisture traps! 1 right before the hose connect and another further down the line.

Important additions to the airbrush/compressor is a regulator & moisture trap. The regulator will control the airflow, and the water trap will eliminate the condensation that naturally builds up when air is compressed. A drop of water through the airbrush will ruin a paint job.

Chris- It is a Husky Quiet Air. Home Depot had it for $79. It has a built in regulator that seems to work pretty good. It is quiet enough that when I turned it on the first time it did’nt wake the kids up in the next room. Do have to get a moisture trap though still.
