I’ve completed the Revell 1/72 Merkava Mk. . This is my first tank kit. I made a few mistakes along the way. Assembling the tracks made me lose my joy a few times [%-)]. But I learned a lot and had fun. There are more pics are available at my www link below. Don’t expect a showcase model. [:)]

I don’t know anything about Merkavas - what is the purpose of all those short chains that hang from the back of the turret?
Looks like a fun little build. There seems to be a heck of alot of detail on that kit especially for it’s size! The only thing I don’t understand is the colour of the tank. It’s a reddish brown hue. Merkava’s are more of an OD colour… just some food for thought, glad you liked it! Russamys, the ball and chains are the answer to RPG’s! Cheap and useful armour!
Thanks for all the kind words guys. I hope to learn a ton of stuff from all of you. The color of the tank is flat tan. The color may look a bit off due to my camera. I use a Sony Cybershot. I paid a lot of money for the camera but it doesn’t take the best looking pictures. It may just be that I haven’t mastered the use of the camera yet. It never takes very good close up pictures for some reason. And those are the ones needed for models. I didn’t try any weathering or wash techniques because I was afraid that I would ruin my first tank build. Big time rookie here. [swg] I’m getting ready to build a Italeri 1:72 M4 Sherman Tank. For some reason I like the braille scale. I plan on giving weathering and maybe a wash a try. Worst case scenario, I’ll ruin the kit. [:D] Then I’ll try again.
