Completed Ford GPA (Pics)

Here are the pics of my completed Ford GPA which is my entry to the Small AFV GB. I have also completed the dio base, the figures and other stuff.

I tried to depict here the GPA approaching a river bank with one soldier trying to scan the area.

Here are the overall views of the diorama.

Here are some close-up views:

As you all know, this kit was sent to me by Shermanfreak as an unexpected gift so I really tried to make a good job on this one to show my appreciation.

Excellent job Dwight … I really like what you have done with this kit.

Beautiful job.

once againway to go Dwight. Looks awesome. What did you use for the tree?

Hey Dwight,
Very nicely done my friend!!! What did you use to make the tree?? Do tell…
Flaps up, Mike

Joe: Thanks[;)]

Sherm: I am relieved that you like it. Thanks for the kit.[:)]

Thundergod/Butz: Thanks for the nice words. The tree was made as follows:

Trunk/Branches - Twisted wire wrapped in masking tape and puttied to give it a rough texture. (Hand painted and drybrushed)

Leaves: Pieces of scotchbrite pad coated with woodland scenics coarse turfing materials. (Airbrushed on some areas to give variation and depth)

Scotchbrite pad? Wow

Dwight, great job on an unusual kit.

Looks great Dwight!! The dio is awesome as is the rest. I notice someone has nicknamed the GPA “Sherm”. [;)]

Excellent work, the tree is really good as others mentioned and the grass looks great too.

Keep up the good work bro!

Eric

Very lovingly done pare.
Beautiful dio ,you captured the feel of it well.

Awesome as always Dwight. Very nice to see an unusual build.

Thundergod: Yes scotchbrite. My fingers are still sore. It is very hard to tear into small pieces.[:D]

Keyworth: Thanks for the second comment.

Erush: Thanks. Well I think the nickname is quite catchy.[;)]

obiwan: Thanks pare.[;)]

Tigerman: Yes, it is good to build something without a turret for a change. It’s got propellers, too. I am a ship builder now you know. LOL.[}:)][;)] Thanks

DDT:

Excellent work, you’ve got me thinking about trying one myself.
Keep it up.

As per all the comments above, very nice job! The base really enhances the overall finish of the kit.

Great job, Dwight [tup]

Didn’t know you would ever do one of those things with the - you know - rubber, round, black, wheel things ?

Great job

Dwight, Super Job on the ol kit… I really like the diorama too. Nice and tight. No real dead space and composed well… Like the muddy bank as well… A+
