Completed 2nd small AFV GB - 2 1/2 ton truck

I was saving this for the D-Day GB but got impatient. I built it alongside my “Willy`s Jeep”. I will find another kit for the D-Day GB.
This is the Tamiya 2 1/2 ton cargo truck with accessories from Tamiya , Italeri and bits from my workshop. I painted the wood parts first with dark brown, then OD and then rubbed off the OD with thinners to simulate wear. I painted the chassis and engine/ running gear black initially, but applied many washes of oil and water colours to achieve the end result. The rest of the vehicle got a base coat of Humbrol US Army green and then multiple washes of oil and water colours. I think it looks OK.

He found it at the side of the road and picked it up. The bazooka would not fit in the space available.

Nice clean build Dave … how did you like this kit?

Thought of picking one up to tag along with my Shermies.

Thanks for sharing.

Funny thing happened I went out to look at the new hobbie lobby and low and behold the is a 2 1/2 ton there the price …3.99$. Gotta love stupid people sometimes, now only if they would do that on a KT ardennes or the dragonwagon hehehe.
