COMPLETED - 1/32 HK Models B-25J Mitchell

I really admire you guys who build in these gynormous scales - because your errors are so much more apparent. If you make any, that is. Yet another reason I stick to itty-bitty ships!

Doogs, you have cranked out another gem here. She looks ready to take off [Y]

I especially love the “nose art” on that one! And the great name to go with it…Beautiful!

Killer looking build Doogs! That thing has got to be a monster! Finish came out awesome ,as usual! Very nicely done Sir!

Nice work Doogs! Now, if that dang B-17 would just come out!!!

Nice work Doogs. How did you scrape up the props. I like it. I have been told I should sell some of my collection. This is the reason why I only take local commission builds. Needless to say, I have to hold on to my day job for now.

Wonderful build Doog. Simply splendid. I can see your customer likes tidy craft because I doubt any B-25 just given an emergency green paint job would as lovely as that. As much as I’d like to see one of these uber-kits just coming out, I just don’t see moving up to 32 scale (outside of biplanes natch) especially on a bomber. Part count around 400? Getting like a Dragon tank, although not quite to the stage of modern 350 scale warship. (Think Dragon Scharnhorst is around 1200.) In your hands it looks worth it. I’m stuck with my AM B-25 and will have to hope for the best.

Awesome build Doogs! Looks great!

I see you managed to avoid a major mistake I made on my build.

A word of warning to anyone else building this model: Pay very close attention to instructions #18, parts B7, B8 and D17 and #34, parts C7, C8, D6 and D16. The instructions make it look like parts B7 and B8 assemble together, slanted into the wing. Likewise with parts C7 and C8 and D6 and D16. This is wrong. Part D6, D7 (not shown in the instructions), B8 and C8 should be assembled when the control surfaces are added and installed flush with them, NOT installed as they look in the instructions. If you do it like the instructions suggest, you’ll end up with large gaps between the wings and control surfaces like I did. Too late for me (until I build the strafer version).
