Anyone know a good model in 1/35 of the experimental helicopter the military was having developed?

No, no 1/35 Commanche. I think the only Commanche kit is the Italeri, 1/48, I believe. It is not very accurate as well since it was from the first prototype version, later versions were very different. There will probably be no others since the program was cancelled as well.
Just rembered that they made a 1/72 version as well. Revell Germany(?) repackaged both kits too at one time.
A couple of differences between the kit and the 'final" Commanche is the addition of a Longbow radar on top of the main rotorhead (think a truncated teepee shape) and they put on two vertical winglets at either end of the horizontal tail, similar to the Little Birds. I haven’t finished the Longbow yet, but here’s a good idea of what the winglets look like:

hmmmmmm a modern military airplanes encyclopedia told me it was the most versatile and stealthy helicopter ever made.

It might have been, but it was also the most expensive. The cost is what killed it. It was decided to use the program money to upgrade current systems since we really don’t need a stealthy chopper anymore. We need more and better Apaches and Blackhawks. The OH-6 is being looked at to refill the role of the light scout helo instead of the RAH-66 doing this.

It’s a good job the Comanche was cancelled really. I mean there were 4 of them in The Hulk and they couldn’t even take one super-human-giant-green-monster down! Serioulsy though I think the comanche is one sexy looking helo. I didn’ realise there was a 1/48 version kit available, I bought the 1/72 version from Italeri and it’s not too bad. Could do with more detail but that can be said for most kits, we always want more us modellers!
I have 2 Comanche kits from Tamiya 1/72… If anyone is interested?..
