I contemplating modeling a group of planes from a “display team”, such as Blue Angels or other nation’s teams…Anyone have suggestions on how to simulate colored “smoke” used for flyovers? Red, Blue, or Green?
Simply spray painting cotton doesn’t seem like it would do the trick, yet dyeing doesn’t seem right either.
Ideas? Thanks

Seems to me airbrushing would give closer results than anything else.
Maybe some unraveled yarn in the appropriate color(s) would work.
Hi Stonemin;
What I use is the modern material used for stuffing pillows and quilts. It tears real fine and you can stiffen it with Craft clear flat spray. We ship modelers found it works great for wakes and bow waves.
