I am soon going to be painting a re-built base from mini-art, it has a street, a damaged russian building, and a advertising collum. My question is what colors should I use for the street itself, the brick, and the morter between the bricks? The shop I use for paints I could only find some Airfix brick red. As far as the street itself goes, its a large street, and I really dont feel like hand brushing the entire thing.
Hi there,
Have you looked into the ‘Railway’ modelling sites or Forums on the WWW ? They ought to have plenty of info on paints and colours for buildings, streets etc.
All the best,
Mick C.
The place I get my paint is on the Www…
I think the point Mick was trying to make is that the model railway fraternity make a lot of buildings, I know I used to be a railway modeller, and therefore have a whole range of techniques for creating and painting brick and masonry.
Therefore it worth doing a trawl of these sites to identify which paints might be suitable for your needs.
Also worth looking through any model railway mags in your local news sellers as they are forever runing how to’s on buildings.
