Coastal Command Fortress is DONE!

This conversion took almost two months to complete so compared to some of the other projects I’ve done - pretty quick. Here are some pictures for you folks. I used Photoadobe to overlay the model on a sky background which is why all the final shots are done on a blue screen.

And of course you can see the entire construction process on my web site.
Now, on to the next project - converting Monogram’s He-111 H4/5 into a early He-111B Pedro.

Looks good, Swanny. I see pilots in there - do you have a full crew? Are you mounting it on a stand or hanging it?

Fantastic job, swanny!!! She’s a beauty! I like the subtle weathering you’ve given her. And the greenhouse nose too!! Where are the othe pics? i see pics 1&2, 8&9… where’s 3-8?? [:)]

Pix: i think i see a bombadier in the nose… and there may be someone at the waist positions too…

If the word can be used. The model is beautiful!!!
Great job, Swanny.

Randie [C):-)]

There are five crew on-board; pilot, co-pilot, bombardier, both waist gunners. This was built gear up with the intent to hang from my model room ceiling …

pics 3-7 are on my web site in the construction feature.

That’s beautiful, Swanny!

Great work on the Fortress, Swanny. Very nicely done. What scale is it?

Oh, and those are magnificent in-flight shots! Thanks for sharing.[tup][tup]

Superb, as always, Swanny.

Really a beauty! You do some fantastic work Swanny.

Swanny, that looks GREAT!

Looks great Swanny whats next?

(pardon my french![:p])
regards,
nick

Very nice!!! And the weathering is just great!

Hey Swanny;
Great job so are you going to keep us updated on the Pedro?

Great swanny!! Where can I get crew members for my B-17 in the box?

Good freaking luck. I was going to scratchbuild my crew when I got lucky and a friend volunteered his crew from a pro-modeler set. Verlinden offers a set of 4 bomber crew figures all in standing poses but they are pricey - you can find a review of that set on my site.

Hey Cuda - of course, look in the aircraft forum directory, there is an update from yesterday on the Pedro and I’ll probably post another on Sunday.

You’ve done it again Swanny! I always enjoy looking at your inprogress and finished models, very inspirational.[:)]

Thanks Woody, and thanks to all of you guys for your kind words. Ya’ll make me feel better than I really am.[:I]

I don’t know what is better, your modeling skills or your photography!?! Outstanding workmanship! Beautiful photography!

Thats a great build Swanny! As others have said, It’s a beauty!
