I have a B-17 I wish to paint as a Coastal Command Fortress II. I can find colour photos but no mention of the actual paint colours used. Any advise will be greatly appreciated
I’m in the middle of that kind of project (1/48) right now if you want to take a closer look
Here is the link to the build

I am using light gray for the underside with dark green and dark sea gray for the uppers.
Show-off. [:p] How’s that Fortress comming along, swanny? I can’t wait to see what the nosepiece looks like! [:D]
Heh heh heh. I’ve been putting decals on it all week. Soon…
Thanks for the link. I will update when I finish my 1/48 Fortress II.

hey swanny, I never noticed you had a clear Me-262. I didn’t see any built pics, so I’m assuming it isn’t?
Nope, have not started on that one yet. Have several clear kits actually, have the 262, a 1/48 B17G clear, and a clear Zero. Someday I’ll get to them but today I have 3 Pend O’Rielle kits calling to me.
Hey Swanny;
Quit showing off and get back to work on that Fort, I’m still wondering when are you going to turn over the keys to it so I could take off your hands?, It’ll look good sitting by my B-17F on the shelf,LOL, still doing great work though and keep it up
he correct camoflage colours for the “temperate sea scheme” are Extra dark sea gray and Dark slate gray. Polyscale cover both in their excellent range of acrylics, Undersides should be white.
