Just finished the Hobby Boss HH-60 Jayhawk kit (1:72 scale). Very nice kit, lots of tiny decals. I added some detail to interior, and posed it with cabin door open. Photo is shot against a photo backdrop of local airport.
Nice work Mr. Stauffer! You’ve done we (ex) Coasties proud! I’ve got a 1/48 Hasegawa Navy S-3 in the stash, does anyone make a Coast Guard H-3 Pelican?
Really nice Don- and the Coast Guard color scheme is very attractive. [Y]

Nobody makes a kit of the H-3, but a company called “Attic” made a conversion kit in 1/48. I don’t know if the company exists anymore. The kit was rather pricey as I recall, but built up into a really nice H-3 according to the photos I saw on their website at the time. I’ve wanted to do a 1/48 H-3 ever since I did a conversion of the Revell “Jolly Green” in 1/72.
Very nice build and paint job! Keep up the good work!
jb4406…thanks for the info.
nice!
I build the 1/48 version late last year.
Nice job Don, at first glance I thought it was real!
Lindhberg does a 1/72nd scale USAF HH-3E. You can get decals for the Coast Guard version as well. Great looking '60. Italeri just released a Coast Guard HH-60J. Could be turned into an MH-60T with minimal effort.
awesome job
As always Don it looks great.
Santa I hear has Skunkworks HH-60J inline for me, hope I can do as nice a job as yours.
I thought that was a photo of a real Jayhawk for a second. Nice.
Great job!
Nice, sharp job there Don (model & photo). [Y]
