Hi Everyone. I’m building a DC-3 as a CNAC plane and was planning to model it after this plane.

Incredibly, I didn’t notice until late in my build that this plane does not have deicer boots (which is surprising, since it reportedly flew The Hump!). It would be a mess to sand off the boots from my build, so I’m trying to reference a similar plane with the markings shown, but I can’t seem to find one. I can locate this picture of a wing of a plane with the same markings with the deicer boots.

I’ve been googling but can’t seem to find anything. Would anyone be able to help?

I did a quick google image search. While most of the pictures showed de-icer boots, a considerable number did not.

That was very kind of you to look! I’m seeing the same thing and I also have some reference books for Chinese aircraft that show the same thing.

I’ll just bite the bullet and make the change to the model. Thanks!
